So how this works is you borrow €40,000 to refurbish your vacant property, they then rent it from you at a lower rent, this lower rent goes towards paying back the €40,000. So for a number of years you have your property tied up. I think there should be a tax incentive for the landlord as they have just handed over their property with nothing coming back to them for some time. There has to be a win win situation for housing authority, tenant and landlord or why would you get involved.

And thank you to TESCO at Roscrea for allowing us to set up the clinic.We helped out a few people on Friday and we are glad the service has been well received. We will soon be posting a series of video's covering the subjects that have been coming up at the clinics ie. eviction notices, deposit retention, rent reviews etc. We hope these will be of help to people who can't get to the clinics or we can't get to their area.
