Exhibition of works by Patrick Redmond and his late father Jody. Jody Redmond was a self taught Artist and he was skilled in traditional crafts of woodworking, leatherwork and jewellry. Born in 1942. He lived in Riverchapel, later moving to Gorey. He won a scholarship from the RCA in London, but due to illness was unable to go. He was to spend 2 periods of his life in both Peamount and Brwonswood Hospitals being treated for the rampant illness of the day, tuberculosis. In his early 20's, he became a seafarer and this was to be the recurring motif for his lifes work. Patrick Redmond is a painter born in 1976 and from Gorey. He has had four solo exhibitions at the Molesworth Gallery and one at The Wexford Arts Centre. He has shown at the RHA Annual Exhibition in Dublin and the BP Portrait Award Exhibition at the National Gallery, London. He has also participated in curated group shows at the Iontas Arts Centre in Co. Monaghan and the Garter Lane Arts Centre in Co. Waterford.
