Well folks, we didn't see this coming... With deepest regret, we will not be with you this year on the prom. The Galway City Council has chosen the more "economically advantageous" candidate to tender and will be occupying the kiosk with a doughnut shop. While we wish the new tenant all the best, we promise you we've got some tricks up our sleeve. We may be off site Ladies Beach but it's not the last you'll see of Pangea. We'd like to take this time to express our complete and utter gratitude for each and every one of you. We felt completely embraced in the love and support you gave us last year and will remember each face and corresponding coffee order by name. The amount of togetherness and community at the ol' shpot on Ladies was truly astounding. Only together can we make Pangea! It's truly unfortunate we're unable to expand on all the groundwork we built together last year; there sure was a lot in the books for this summer already! But.... sure, look it! We can't keep all this craic to ourselves so we'll be sure to keep spreadin' the love mobile-Pangea style. Cuz sure, who needs a roof when we've got outside? The sea will always be there for swimmin'! We're embracing the winds of change and wishing you all the very best in the summer of 2017. Hello Galway and Pangea folk! Would YOU like to see Pangea Coffee Emporium again this year on the Prom? We're writing to ask for your help and support. Contrary to popular belief, Pangea does not automatically occupy the kiosk space on Ladies Beach in Galway every year. Our building is a tendered space that we must apply for each spring while crossing all fingers and toes. As difficult as this can be, we not only want to bring Pangea back as strong as ever, but this second season will give us a chance to expand. Which means more absolutely delicious coffee from Silverskin, a fancy new Irish ice cream maker, a new homemade organic snack menu, yummy savory foods, expansion to the seating area and aesthetic, a world coffee menu, and most importantly, more community craic! We LOVE our swimmers and our yogis - this year, Sunrise Swims and Sunset Yoga will be set up for a few local charities, taking place bi-weekly. Additionally, we'll be adding walks and other initiatives to stick together and stay outside. We also can't wait to announce the lineup for Movie's on the Beach and other gatherings on Ladies Beach and around Salthill. There's so much in store and we've been plotting away all winter... but now is the time to appeal to the lads at the City Council who will make the final call of tenancy.
