Power Performance Academy classes continue this Saturday January 20th. There are places available in the different age groups so New students are welcome to join. Classes in Dance, Drama and Singing are held every Saturday in the GMIT college Dublin Road. (Northern Entrance on the Ballybane Road) Ages from 4yrs to 17yrs. The class times are as follows: 4-5year olds 11:00-12:00; 6-11year olds 12:00-2:00, 12-14year olds and 15-17year olds 2:00-5:00pm. Power Performance Academy's with Twin Productions summer musical was Disney's Aladdin jr The Musical. Indigo Lighting captured some lovely images from the production at the Town Hall Theatre Galway. The show was directed by Seán Power, Choreographer Declan J. Gardiner, Musical Director John O'Dea and Chorus Director Meg Ní Leocháin. We would like to thank the full company both on stage and off who rehearsed and worked so hard on this big colourful production. A huge big thank you goes to the audiences from Galway as well as the many visitors to our city who came along in big numbers to enjoy the show. Our theatre company produces and performs good-quality full-scale musical theatre shows, which provide the participants theatrical education and experience in all facets of musical theatre. Power Performance Academy is founded on the principle that participation in the performing arts builds a strong sense of self-esteem as well as developing leadership, individual responsibility, and teamwork. Participants gain both theatrical skills and valuable social and communication skills.. Disney's Aladdin jr - the musical will be produced by Brian and Seán Power and will be staged at the Town Hall theatre from August 24th. to 27th. The show has all the fun, the magic, the songs and the costumes and sets will be wonderful.
