Student Startup Weekend
Description
Seccond Student edition of Startup Weekend ever to take place in Dublin. Startup Weekends are intense 54-hour events designed to let new technical and non-technical entrepreneurs launch a startup in a single weekend.
Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations.
Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurs. The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education. Whether you are looking for feedback on a idea, a co-founder, specific skill sets, or a team to help you execute, Startup Weekends are the perfect environment in which to test your idea and take the first steps towards launching your own startup.
This event is open to students at second & third level, and also recent 2016 graduates.
Startup Weekend Student Edition will be hosted at the Bank of Ireland, Montrose Branch. Meals will be included on each day.

Student Summit Opens €1,500 Fund for Student Start-Up Pitch The Irish Student Summit 2016 will take place on the 4th February in Dublin Castle, where one Student Start-up will walk away with a €1,500 investment in their business idea. Want to be in with the chance to pitch on stage in Dublin Castle in less than 3 weeks for our €1,500 investment prize? All you need to do is prepare a two minute video pitch for the USI team and upload it to YouTube - it really is that simple!
