The Official umbrella Organisation for all Sickle cell and Thalassaemia Support groups & organisations in Ireland, with CHY status & registered with CRO.   It is run by the patients, families of sufferers, volunteers and supporters of Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia.
We work in partnership with the Sickle Cell Society UK, Crumlin children's hospital, and specialist medical professionals.
Members of the Genetic and Rare Disorders Organisation among others.

It was indeed a pleasure meeting with Cyril O'Connor, coordinator at Thalassaemia Society of NSW Inc, during his visit to Ireland. A very informative, and uplifting meeting as we exchanged and shared experiences and ideas and key points in furthering the cause of both Thalassaemia and Sickle cell awareness in both continents.
