Working in this field and looking to progress within the sport I enjoy most is tough, constantly knocking on closed doors trying to get a break, it's nice when your hard work and efforts get recognised and someone rings you offering a nice opportunity!
As always trying to further educate myself and wade through the grey areas of this profession, attending seminars organised through the Pro Sport Academy, some great speakers from Dave O'Sullivan to Greg Lehman, great guys to learn from and become a better therapist! Up early tomorrow for 3 more seminars!

One thing I always do with patients is to tell them what the issue at hand is in simple laymans terms rather than complex descriptions using overly complicated language. If you can understand your pain and your path to recovery, injuries wont appear so daunting and recovery time not so open ended. If you've been left confused by previous physio's feel free to contact me today on 0877459841 for an appointment!
At my second home now, working with Confey Gaa Club senior Hurlers now this evening, looking forward to a fast paced high tempo game

Concussion Return to Play Part 5 So at this point we would hope that we have progressed comfortably through the previous stages without any recurrence of concussion symptoms. It's important to remember the athlete can only progress once there has been no relapse, so be mindful of any headaches, stiff neck, sensitivity to light, difficulty concentrating etc, if this happens at any stage in the process seek further medical advice. Our next stage of the RTP is full contact training BUT we also require medical approval to progress to this stage. Once players have this they can go back to full contact training. At this point, providing there has been no recurrence of symptoms in the 48 hour post training period players can return to play to full play. It is important that players of all ages follow the Concussion RTP protocol strictly. Coaches and parents should ensure complete adherence. I would also like to add that there has been a new protocol put forward which in theory could allow athletes return in 7 days, until this is adopted and advised by governing bodies I would keep with the current minimum 21-23 day protocol.
Congratulations to the Dublin and District Schoolboys League under 12 and 13 squads for winning their finals in Cork and Tipperary yesterday, congratulations to all the coaches and players involved, alot of hard work from both the players and coaches paying off!
