Description
Cherry Orchard Community Childcare Service is a non profit organisation committed to providing high quality, affordable child care and education. The service is a modern, state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility. We cater for children from the age of 1 to 10 years old. The class rooms are individually designed for delivery of quality childcare provision to children of various ages. There are two outdoor play areas. One is paved with soft tiles, and is used by all ages for various activities, such as football and bike riding. The other is grassed with two slides, sandpit, gardening area and a climbing feature. At present we accommodate 102 children.
We provide a curriculum that children are actively involved in and gives them choice over their learning. The curriculum promotes children's development in how they approach learning, social, emotional and and physical development, health, language, literacy, communication, mathematics, creative arts, science, technology, and social studies. Nutritional meals, advice, information and support is provided on a daily basis.
We are open from 8.30am to 5.00pm everyday with the exception of Christmas when we close for two weeks.

Preschool trip to Cherry Orchard Equine Centre! Thanks to Emma for showing us around and Niamh and Danielle for coming along. We had great fun learning about the horses and grooming Daisy. The equine centre truly is a special place and a fantastic community service.

Our Preschoolers are very excited about going to the beach tomorrow. We can't wait!
Exciting news! We will be painting murals on four of our exterior walls. We want to bring together artists, children, youth, parents and local community organisations to use art as a tool for social change. So far The WHAD Project, Cherry Orchard Boxing Club, The Cherry Orchard Runners, The Base and Horsepower are all on board. We hope this project will enhance both the look of the centre and the local area as a whole. Any donations of exterior wall paint and equipment would be greatly appreciated. Please spread the word :)

A huge thank you to every one who took part in our First Light sponsored walk in memory of Bobby G Murray 2011 - 2014. First Light are a charity who support suddenly bereaved parents and families.
