Heavily influenced by his favourite media, Shane draws out inanimate objects and symbols found in the backgrounds film, television and retro gaming and centralises them in his work, skewing the parameters and adding a twist of wry humour. Inspired by the computer architecture of video game consoles such as Atari, Commodore and Nintendo, Shane’s lively prints show us Dublin reimagined in all it’s 8-bit glory.
