facebook.comWow - thank you so much for all of your kind offers of support today and for all the volunteer drivers who came on board to help out! Thanks to you, many of our staff finally made it home to their families today, and other staff managed to get to work in our locations across the city and county. Our heartfelt thanks to you ❤ We seem to be OK for drivers today (and will give an update here tomorrow on the situation). Staff are in place and the people we support are safe and warm (and some are busy making snowmen!). A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who have shown their genuine kindness and care for people we support. You really are amazing! #CorkLegends #SuperHeroes #ThankYou
⛄Snippets from snowdays in Rossbarra (residential centre). Here are some of the incredible staff at Rossbarra - some of whom have been working since Wednesday! Well done and thank you. We are working on transport solutions to get staff home and get staff in to work. If you are based in the city or county and drive a 4x4 or a similar suitable vehicle, please phone us on 086 3345518. We really, really appreciate any help and support! 👍 Corks RedFM 104-106; Cork's 96FM; C103 Cork
❗❗PLEASE SHARE To all our friends, supporters and neighbours, Cope Foundation needs your help today! All of the people we support are safe and warm in their houses all across Cork city and county. However, some Cope Foundation staff are finding it difficult to get home and also to make it to their place of work. Some of our dedicated, wonderful staff have been working since Wednesday! They have been away from their own homes and families all this time so we need to get them home! If you, or someone you know, has a 4x4 (or other vehicle that is safe and suitable for this weather) would like to help, please contact us on 086 3345518 (Derval). We have always been so grateful for the support of the Cork community and we need it now more than ever. Thank you! People we support and staff wrapped up and got out to enjoy some fun in the snow in Mayfield. Check out their snowman (and snow woman)!! Did you build a snowman today? ⛄
❗The people we support are all safe and warm in their houses today. We know though that staff are finding it difficult to get to work today and relieve their colleagues. We would ask any staff who can SAFELY walk to their nearest Cope Foundation residence would kindly do so today to help out. In the meantime we are working on other transport solutions for staff. It has been an extraordinary couple of days where staff have shown their kindness, person centredness and dedication. Many have been away from their own families and homes for a number of days due to the staff shortage we have experienced since Wednesday. A heart felt 'Thank You' for your continued dedication, from the Leadership Team.
Amidst all the chaos and upheavel with this red weather warning, we just want to say how incredible and generous Cope Foundation staff have been to ensure the people we support are comfortable and safe as we brace ourselves for these awful conditions. It has taken a lot of work, sacrifices and coordination to make this happen! Huge and heartfelt thanks to staff who have, again, gone above and beyond the call of duty for the people we support...you're awesome! ❤ #TheBeastFromTheEast #RedWeatherWarning
Please note, Beech Hill Garden Centre (our garden centre in Montenotte) will be closed until Monday! Let's hope all our lovely plants and flowers will withstand #TheBeastFromTheEast Stay safe all! ⛄

Meet some of Blarney's kindest people! ❤️ Here's our wonderful Blarney Fundraising group handing over a cheque for €11,000, the funds they raised in the area in 2017! Their bumper Coffee Morning, which they held in June at Blarney Castle Hotel, was a huge success for them - big thanks to everyone who supported it.☕🎂 The group were thrilled to hand over the cheque recently to Jo-Anne from the Fundraising Office at Cope Foundation. We just ❤️ these photos! Looks like Rebel Wheelers Multi Sports Club had a brilliant weekend here at Cope Foundation when Cork City Fire Brigade Firefighters visited the Club and brought lots of excitement! Well done to everyone involved! Photos: Olivia Walsh Cork City Council; County Cork
Congratulations on your new job! Huge congratulations to Steven and Dylan from The Village Project (community integrated day service) who are ready to start their new jobs with Lidl Ireland! Here they are in Lidl's Regional Distribution Centre following their two days training there. Steven is beginning his new job in his hometown, Fermoy and Dylan is starting in his new position in the new store in Wilton. If you are visiting these stores look out for Dylan and Steven and say 'hello'. 💁♀️ It is so lovely to see both young men fulfilling their dreams. Wishing you both every success in your new roles.

I currently possess 3 maybe 4 of the 7 characteristics that define humans. Don't mind me though the chemicals in my body are playing on my brain like a French horn. Here's a picture of a loving mother with her autistic son.
