In November 2004 we opened a new shop which gave us the opportunity to
offer an even higher level of service. Wider aisles, better variety and faster
service all served to improve the Scally's Supervalu experience but we didn't
stop there. We've gone back to basics and have a full working kitchen preparing
handmade meals using only the best natural ingredients. We've also set up an
Artisan Bakery, which means the bread you buy from us is prepared and freshly
made in store every day. When you love what you do it shows and at Scally's
SuperValu Clonakilty we love looking after you.

facebook.comScally’s are delighted to be supporting a group of local students competing in this years Junk Kouture competition in Dublin later this month. Model Andrea Tobin with her team members Éimear Walsh and Kelsey O’Mahony, from Sacred Heart Secondary School, Clonakilty are competing in the Grand Final of the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture competition in the 3Arena, Dublin, on April 19th. The competition is about designing fashion, in this case, using recyclable materials such as plastic milk containers, mineral bottles and vegetable bags made of plastic netting. The team are highlighting global warming, the melting of the ice-caps and the droughts that cause forest fires with their theme ‘Fire and Ice’. Scally’s provided the team with the waste vegetable bag nets which were then recycled and turned into the base of the huge skirt. Today, Monday April 2nd, is World Autism Awareness Day and here at Scally’s we are dedicating the full day to a sensory friendly shopping experience. The lights throughout the store will be dimmed, the music will be switched off and there will be no announcements throughout the entire day. The Autism Lifeskill Friend (ALF) trolley will be available for use and store sounds are now available to listen to at https://supervalu.ie/real-people/autism-friendly to help prepare before coming to the store. We also have social stories for the shopping experience available on request from autismfriendlyshop@gmail.com and autism assistance dogs are always welcome to the store. Our Autism Friendly Shopping night continues every Tuesday evening from 7-9pm. The lights are dimmed, the music is off and there really is a peaceful shopping atmosphere in store. Autism Assistance dogs are more than welcome in store to help with the experience and the ALF trolley is available - just ask a member of our team for assistance. Remember - April is Autism Awareness Month!

At last! Thanks to our wonderful team, we have managed to open this morning. Call in (if it’s safe to do so) and get the essentials to fill the fridge and cupboards again. We’re so lucky to have such great producers on our doorstep in Clonakilty who are helping to stock the shelves again. Never before has it been so important to #SupportLocal It will, however, take time to be fully stocked again but we’re working hard to get back to normal service as quickly as possible.See you all soon!
We are hoping to open Saturday morning at 9.30AM. Some of our bakers will be in and we’ll be getting fresh milk from Clóna ...So you’ll be able to stock the cupboards again and keep those hungry mouths fed for another bit. We hope you’ve all managed to weather the storm and look forward to seeing you in store 😊
