Youth Work Ireland Midlands
Description
Delivering quality youth services to young people throughout counties Offaly & Westmeath. Youth Work Ireland Midlands was established in the 1960's and formally incorporated in 1998, to respond to youth needs in the counties of Offaly and Westmeath and developed from voluntary input and training programmes into youth clubs throughout the counties to a professional, integrated youth service aiming to involve all young people.
We achieve this by:
• Assisting and supporting young people find and use their own resources responsibly.
• By supporting and challenging young people in transition.
• By providing young people with the opportunities to participate in programmes and enhance self-development.
• By encouraging and empowering young people to be the authors of their own activities in collaboration with Midlands Regional Youth Service Ltd staff and volunteers
• By providing young people with the information necessary to make informed choices and to participate fully in society.
“We confirm that our organisation complies with The Governance Code for the Community, Voluntary and Charitable Sector in Ireland”
