Tandjung Sari Hotel
Description
Tandjung Sari was opened in 1962 and began as an extension of the family home of Indonesian proprietor Wija Wawo-Runtu. The hotel was named Tandjung Sari (cape of flowers) and initially developed as Bali’s very first boutique property. Tandjung Sari opened in 1962 as a four bungalow extension to the family home of Wija Wawo-Runtu, set in lush gardens on the Sanur beachfront. Today Tandjung Sari has 28 bungalows, evolved from traditional Balinese architecture, construction techniques and materials. We welcome you to experience the ambiance of our private retreat in harmony with the Balinese environment.

Today we celebrate Ibu Tatie's 80th birthday with a special party. 'It is an honour for Tandjung Sari to host this special event, not only because this is a special milestone in Ibu Tatie’s life, but Ibu Tatie herself is so special for Tandjung Sari. Together with Pak Wija, Ibu Tatie built the pillars for Tandjung Sari. We are so lucky to continue what they have created. Tandjung Sari, Wija & Tatie are inseparable. Every time I walk around the hotel on my morning duties, I can really see Ibu Tatie's eyes, hands and thought in every single detail in the hotel. Not only in the rooms, in the garden, the restaurant, kitchen...in everything. Ibu Tatie has been a great supporter for me and my wife, Wita, from day one when we came to manage Tandjung Sari. Her support is "all out"...unlimited! We can never thank her enough for what she has been doing for Tandjung Sari to bring us to this stage now...we wish you all happiness and health for the next 80yrs!' some special words from Avi Purnomo on this momentous day—please join us in raising a glass to Ibu Tatie today.
