As a people and organisation development consultancy, Emergenetics International - Greater China works with its extensive network of Certified Associates to deliver solutions based on the science of Emergenetics. At the heart of the solutions is the Emergenetics Profile, a research-based psychometric profiling tool that accurately measures an individual's preference in four Thinking attributes (Analytical, Structural, Social and Conceptual) and three Behavioural attributes (Expressiveness, Assertiveness, and Flexibility). Developed by Dr Geil Browning and Dr Wendell William, the Emergenetics Profile uses a likert scale to measure brain preferences (not a forced choice), and results are normed against the world population (this shows an individual's preference in relation to the world at large). Meeting the highest standards in the industry, the questionnaire has face, criterion, test-retest validity and is highly reliable (high coefficient alpha of between 0.74 and 0.84). A unique feature of the Emergenetics Profile is that it displays the four Thinking and three Behavioural attributes in colours, making the tool simple to understand (yet not simplistic), easy to recall (no need to remember combinations of letters from the alphabet) and easy to apply at work or in life. For individuals aged 9 to 18 years old, the Student Teacher Emergenetics Profile (STEP) is available to help them understand their thinking and behavourial preferences.
