Free tickets for live performance! On Wednesday 9 March at 19.00 the Cinemateket and the Embassy of Belgium in Copenhagen present the Belgian band “We Stood like Kings”. After an amazing performance at the Cinemateket last June, We Stood like Kings will be back, now performing its music accompanying the Russian silent film “A Sixth Part of the World” (1926) directed by Dziga Vertov. The documentary is both an anthropological and a propaganda portrait of the USSR in its early years. The music balances between serial indierock and modern classic. See also www.westoodlikekings.com/ussr-1926 A must see and hear. Tickets: 80/55 DKK. The Embassy of Belgium offers double tickets to the first 10 showing interest.
