The hotel experience - with its bland uniformity, rigid service and extravagant luxuries - is broken and outdated. A hotel should facilitate social connections, bringing together an authentic and open community, service about empathy and compassion, and design should be about making life simple and easy. We believe the hotel experience needs to be refreshed, and we’re starting up with our flagship project in Sanlitun, Beijing. CHAO Hotel & Clubhouse Slated to open in the summer of 2016, the property will feature a 180-room hotel, a 3000 sqm members-only clubhouse, a 2000 sqm Art Center and 40 serviced apartments. Location Cultural, Commercial & Culinary Center of China’s Capital Sanlitun is the playground for expats and hip, young and fashionable Chinese. It boasts the country’s most active and avant-garde scene for fashion, F&B, nightlife and events. It is also the most important neighborhood for lifestyle brands to enter the Chinese market or for Chinese brands to launch onto the international scene. The property is perfectly positioned in the heart of the Sanlitun, in the middle of all of the city’s major happenings. A Destination for Social Connection We design and create spaces that are social destinations, connecting people to each other as well as interactive and creative experiences. The Clubhouse is a members-only social club created for the local community, the club provides members with a nest in bustling Sanlitun, facilities and services cater to all the elements of a modern lifestyle - members can take a breakfast meeting, pull up to a table to work for the afternoon and host a private wine tasting with their friends in the evening. Facilities include: restaurants and cafe, bar, wine cellar, tea house, cigar lounge, Chefs Club for private dinners, gatherings and supper clubs; a library, a barber shop and stylist, a gym, an outdoor pool and a wellness center and spa coming in 2017. With a total of 15 spaces throughout the property designed to accommodate gatherings of varying sizes and purpose - large scale events, art exhibitions, live performance art, pop-up retail, master workshops, courses and seminars, panel discussions, private dining, wine tastings - paired with the location of Sanlitun make the possibilities for social connections here limitless. The Guest Rooms The design focuses on comfort and true sense of belonging. Each room features large floor to ceiling windows for maximum natural light and a sun bed so you can relax while watching the bustling city beneath you. We are currently seeking talented team members as well as partners to collaborate with to make our project truly extraordinary.
