Bubble Tea
Also known as pearl milk tea. It is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in tea shops in Taichung, Taiwan, during the 1980s. Most bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed with fruit or milk. Ice-blended versions are usually mixed with fruit or syrup, resulting in a slushy consistency. Most bubble teas come with small chewy tapioca balls, commonly called “pearls”.
Hong Kong-Style Milk Tea
This a beverage originating from Hong Kong consisting of black tea with evaporated milk or condensed milk. It is usually part of lunch in Hong Kong tea culture. It is also frequently found overseas in restaurants serving Hong Kong cuisine and Hong Kong-style western cuisine.
Hong Kong-Style Western Cuisine
Also called “Sai Chaan”. Dishes derived from cuisines of the Western world, but not classified into a particular country, belong in this category. We are in effect a “Cha chaan teng”, offering both east and west menus. Most dishes are localized with Chinese tastes and contain Chinese and specifically Cantonese influences. We cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner with different portions and menu items for each occasion.
