Parkwood Suites Retirement Residence, a retirement residence providing independent, supportive and assisted living across 84 suites
18 condominium style Garden Homes for seniors living independently.
Parkwood Centre for Community Health and Wellness for all seniors in Waterloo Region.

Parkwood Community Cares! We are collecting Back-to-School Supplies in support of '2 Serve' - a local charity. Parkwood Community wants to help send all kids back to school with a SMILE! Items (NEW please) are being collected from July 25th to August 17th: Back-packs, Binders, Lined Paper, Dividers, Duo-tangs, Pencils Cases, Pencils, Pens, Pencil Crayons, Crayons, Markers, Erasers, Pencil Sharpeners, Rulers, Glue Sticks, Scissors, Protractor Sets, Calculators, Lunch Bags. Help us show children and families in our city that PARKWOOD CARES!

Celebrating Canada's 149th birthday @ Parkwood Mennonite Home. Social event at the Cafe, which included trivia, music, chocolate loonies and cupcakes. It was rock'n. Happy Canada Day eh!
Its Monday, lets get baking! As a perk Parkwood Mennonite Home followers will now be recieving the recipes from our Monday morning baking. If you try the recipe or if you happen to get a taste later today, let us know in the comments what you think! TODAYS RECIPE: Oatmeal Molasses Cookies - Recipe from Cooking With Class Cookbook Recipe was modified for size: Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups of rolled oats 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 pinch of salt 3/4 cups butter or margarine 1 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1/4 cup of molasses 1. In a medium bowl, stir together oats, flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. 2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. 3. Beat in eggs and molasses. 4. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mixture until blended. 5. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. 6. Bake at 350 for appox 8 minutes, until sides are golden brown 7. Cool on wire rack. Makes Approx 18 cookies We plan to have our cookies with our tea later this afternoon. Have a great rest of your day!
