A non profit charitable organization providing support services to individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Luso Canadian Charitable Society is a non profit charitable organization as of August 3, 2003. In our Hamilton and Toronto Support Centres, we provide support services to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities allowing much needed temporary relief for families/caregivers while providing a safe nurturing environment and a sense of well-being. Since our organization does not receive any ongoing government funding, we heavily rely on the generosity of our community for support, this allows us to continue fulfilling our commitment of providing quality programs and services to all persons with disabilities.

The participants of the ECHO Program in the Hamilton Centre had a fun summer day trip on August 30th! We would like to give a special thank you to Dan Daly and his family – owners of P.J. Daly Contracting - for offering such an awesome experience to our participants! They had the chance to fish, feed the donkeys, play basketball, go on tractor, golf cart and boat rides. We also enjoyed a delicious barbeque prepared and offered by the Dale Family! We were touched by your kindness and support. You gave us an unforgettable day!

On August 19th a group of participants from the echo program volunteered at their community park in an extreme park makeover. They worked all morning, helping to paint the park fence, as well as murals that are now proudly on display. All of them worked hard, and are very proud of what they have done to help their community. It was great experience for all!
