330 Danforth Tech Squadron - Royal Canadian Air Cadets
Description
Youth development organization focusing on citizenship and community service, leadership, aviation, and healthy living.
The Royal Canadian Air Cadets offers a dynamic and engaging program for youth age 12-18. Activities include, aviation, flying, music, sports, leadership, citizenship, and many more rewarding once in a lifetime opportunities for youth.
Cadets are motivated to improve their physical fitness, to work harder at their academic studies and to give back to their communities through volunteerism and citizenship activities.
The Cadet Program also has a direct impact on Canadian society as a whole. Cadets have the opportunity to take part in various leadership roles throughout the program. There is definite value in having well-rounded, community-minded, experienced young people who are ready to assume their places as tomorrow’s leaders and decision makers.

These 10 awesome cadets received a certificate of achievement from the commanding officer and training officer last Wednesday for completing a challenging but highly rewarding advanced level training program. They learned everything from aviation, instructional techniques, communication, leadership, and so much more. They committed a full day towards their professional development and skill enhancement. In addition to these certificates, their attendance will be credited towards their marks at the end of the year. Thanks for being committed to YOUR future!

Select cadets receiving either a marksman, first class marksman, or expert badge from the deputy commanding officer and training officer, for their skill in our squadron's marksmanship program. This is probably the most difficult qualification badge to earn, with only about 3 to 8 badges being awarded every year. Well done cadets, impressive marksmanship skills!

Congratulations to all our cadets who participated in 330 squadron's highly engaging and interactive effective speaking program! Over the past few weeks these cadets learned about the various skills required to be effective public speakers; voice control, eye contact, dealing with nerves, confidence, audience engagement, and so much more! Speaking in front of a large audience is certainly a challenging task, but these cadets rose to the challenge and put on an outstanding performance. Over the next two weeks, they'll be competing in our squadron competitions, with the winner being selected to represent our squadron at our zone competition. A special thanks is extended to our sponsoring committee members that put on this highly engaging workshop series for the nearly 30 participants; Mrs. Petrie, Ms. Lacombe, and Mrs. Evans, couldn't have done it without your hard work!
