This page will help keep students and parents informed about upcoming events and activities throughout the school year. Social media has become a huge part of our lives. At Indian River Academy, we too realize the importance of having our staff, students and parents engaged in the day to day events and operations of our school.
While we realize that we cannot possibly capture all, we have decided to launch a facebook page, in conjunction with our synervoice messaging system, with hopes to inform you better.
Please keep in mind that this is for informational purposes only. We will not tolerate any negative feedback, inappropriate behavious and so forth. Those who do so will be banned from the site.
We will aim to keep the site updated as much as possible, but please be cognizant that this may not always be possible and from time to time, we may need gentle reminders.
This is strictly a volunteer adventure.
If you would like to post an event or you have an idea, please advise Kathy by calling the school and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

We have a few Charisma Collegiate Grad Memory Books from the years 1996 and 1997. If any former students from these grad years would like to have a copy, please drop by the school. No charge - first come-first served.
Miss Brett's Grade 6 class are collecting recyclables as a fundraiser for the remainder of May and June. If you would like to donate a portion of your recycling, you may call the school, talk to Kathy, and we will arrange to come and pick up your donation of recycling. Or, you may choose to donate directly to the Green Depot located at 381 Little Bay Road, Springdale. You can just tell the Green Depot staff that you want to make a donation of recyclables to the Indian River Academy Grade 6 Class Trip. Thank you, in advance, for your donation. Newfoundland and Labrador English School District
The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District’s online KinderStart/Kindergarten registration for our school will take place on May 8 & 9. This registration will cover KinderStart for the 2017-18 school year and Kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year. Children must be 5 years old by December 31, 2018. Online registration will be available on the district website (www.nlesd.ca) from 9:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9. Further details are available on the website.
