Miracles come in moments, let us capture every one. I am a true Equine Enthusiast and my equine photography skills have been developed with a love and passion for the horse. I strive to produce amazing images and truly believe that great equine photography should capture the beauty and spirit of horses, as well as the unique bond that can be built between horse and rider. My experience comes from a life long love of horse and years of working with them as a horsewoman. I feel there is more to equine photography than producing an appealing image, its about having an understanding of the relationship between horse and rider. With a photo studio built into the loft my fully functional horse barn, its safe to say I live the "western" way of life and love to document it through my unique photography style. Whether it is a newborn baby posed on dad's saddle in the studio, a newborn colt taking it's first steps or capturing the action at a branding or rodeo, I thrive on capturing the moments that mean so much in for people who live a lifestyle so close to my heart.

I am beyond honoured to have my image shared by the World Professional Chuckwagon Association! It means more to me than any prize to have my work recognized by these folks. Thanks for making this girls week!! Also- a photo of my image at the event- I guess my bio got missed but a fun deal to be a part of. Thanks to all my peeps for the encouragement and kind words!

Well Peeps, here's the deal! Im not sure if I am supposed to post this- but I see other qualifiers have so I thought I would as well to help create some more buzz. This is my image- chosen as part of the top 15 entries for the "Call for Artists" as part of this years Grande Prairie Stompede. Titled "Life; Half Mile at a Time"... it was my vision for the theme "Sutherland Way". The winner is to be chosen by YOU! So head over to the Clarkson Hall on Friday from 3:30-11pm to cast your vote. So-I am giving away two passes to Friday Chuckwagons ~as long as you promise to go vote! Doesn't have to be for my image- I am sure there are a lot of great ones to choose your favorite from! To be entered for the draw you have to do two things- Like Nicky Rae Photography and SHARE this photo! Winner will be drawn Friday Morning.

This little man is about as cute as they come and has a big sister second to none. Of course when you love princesses you have to do a Princess & the Frog shot! And we were able to incorporate "Little Red Riding Hood", to match Big Sisters newborn session using the cape that Momma wore for maternity session. My heart is full :) Rebecca Hayes-Copeland
Pretty excited about this project- those of you who know me know that emergency services is a big part of my life- this is my way of giving back to it.
