Hmmm ... Ms Rise made a discovery today lol - how to jump up on the grooming table, walk across the crates and help herself to the kibble 😂 Luckily I was there to watch the wheels turning. The kibble now has a new home

I set off this morning at 7am for an Agility seminar in Peddicodiac. The roads were so awful that I decided to turn around and come home when I got to New River. It’s a 2hour drive no matter what but with slick white out conditions ... I figured I was looking at 3+ and my heart just wasn’t in it :( I’ve been looking forward to this since last month when this set of seminars with my friend Christine and her side kick Aaron started. As we trundled homewards down the highway, I decided we needed a mini-adventure so we detoured to Pea Point for a small stormy walk. We set off down the trail and I decided to ask the dogs the Classic question: Who are you? (One of Suzanne Clothiers elemental questions). I then observed True and Rise and listened to what they had to say😊 True needs to be on a long line in new locations because... his nose is his world. Today was no different he trotted along, delighting in an olfactory world I can only wonder about. Rise went on mad runs off into the woods and back to us. She attempted to engage True in play (no dice) and eventually found herself a nice stick to toss around. After True had had a nice little sniff session he was able to hear me ans responded beautifully to his name. Rise came back when called, she was pretty good without a treat but perfect when I pulled out a toy. A nice little adventure followed by a walk in the woods at home and a grooming session for everyone. FIVE shedding dogs is a lot of hair lol I’m sad to have missed a great day of “doing and learning” but “being sad listening” days also have lots of value

I like Dr Judy. I think she’s worth following

Rise and her siblings (Evie, Hudson, Cabot and Bodie) are 8 months old today❤️ They are growing into strong minded kind teenagers. We are delighting in comparing notes as we watch them grow. In even more exciting news, True’s brother Ruger WON best of breed today at Westminster Dog Show!! Huge congratulations to Melissa Zobell and team MoonBaby

This is scary stuff :( I don’t really know exactly what to think. I’ve been following Dr Judy for a while and have found her advice to be very well thought out and reasonable. Cooking/preparing homemade food is not for everyone (I’ve been making my own food for my dogs for over 20yrs) - the key take away is research the source of what you are feeding with great care https://www.facebook.com/JudyMorganDVM/videos/1572812449434425/

Good Morning Everyone 🙂 I would like to start up SMALL group classes starting on Saturday, February 24th. I am open to various formats and options depending on the needs and interests of people who contact me. Classes will be held at my home 449 Kerrs Ridge Rd, Bocabec, E5B 3K8. - Classes run for 75mins-90mins, have a maximum of five dogs and are outside as much as possible - I have a small indoor space that can be used in a pinch - Cost is $75 for a set of 3 classes payable on the day of the first class because my groups are small and I cover a lot of material during EACH session I am unable to offer refunds/make ups if you can’t make the dates offered. Dates of this set of classes: Saturday, February 24th, March 3, March 10th ... times to be determined I would like to offer: - Foundation/sport dog class - for dogs 12w and over. This class will begin to build the mechanics and team work needed for competitive dog sports: agility, rally, obedience - Puppy Class: puppies aged 12-16w introduction to skills and some puppy play/socialization - Reactive Dog class: is your dog lunging, yanking and barking at dogs and people? This class will teach you the skills to begin to manage your dogs behaviour and help him to settle and shift his arousal STRICTLY LIMITED TO THREE DOGS and I must see you privately FIRST - A little bit of Everything: the ideal candidate for this is someone who just wants to teach their dog something a little different. This class will have a component on basic manners, scent games, and tricks I prefer to work with people one on one BEFORE I see them in a class environment but I am open to popping you into a class if that’s your preference. One on one consuls are 90mins-2hrs long $100 and provide you with a comprehensive individulazed training plan. I LOVE (to the point of a complete OBSESSION LOL) the sport of agility. I would love to see more people form Charlotte County coming along to trials and training in this most excellent sport! If you want to give agility a try the Foundation Class is where you would start I will run a class IF I have a group of 4 people who are able to commit to the dates I am able to offer 🙂 Once we have longer evenings I will offer a class one week night - most likely on Tuesdays. If you have any questions, please contact me on FB or at: 754-1069 .... Winter is on its way out right???
