Special Weather Statement Picton - Sandbanks Park Issued at 21:55 Monday 13 March 2017 Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected by Wednesday. Snow will develop overnight except Tuesday morning over the Ottawa valley. Northeast winds gusting to 50 km/h are also expected Tuesday resulting in localized blowing snow. Travel conditions Tuesday into Wednesday morning may be quite hazardous as a result of snow and blowing snow. Snow will taper to scattered flurries Wednesday as the low pressure system moves east. Snow amounts are expected to be quite close to the snowfall warning criteria of 15 cm in 12 hours in some portions of eastern Ontario, especially in the Cornwall to Kingston corridor.
