For everyone to learn, create, build. Jay Elbourne and Courtney Black have set out to do more then just improve themselves. They have always had the desire to help others in any way possible. They believe hard work and elbow grease can bring you a long way. The feeling of accomplishment keeps them grounded and has always rewarded them.

Studio Barn is for the local community with a focus on Economic Development for Prince Edward County and neighbouring municipalities, specifically in the skilled trades and secondly in support of local artisans. We are founding Studio Barn for people like us, skilled trades and makers who have made these passions a lifestyle.

Today we had Creative Rural Minds hold "The Maker's Edition" at Studio Barn. First off, A very special thank you to Creative Rural Minds for bringing together a community of like-minded individuals that share the same passions and interests, we are very fortunate to have and build an ongoing relationship with you. This wouldn't have been possible without you. Secondly, we are so moved with the turnout we had today, we had around 90 people attend. It was a pleasure speaking to as many as you as we could. We are still in awe over the support and interest we received today. These connections are so meaningful to us, and we hope to continue to branch out and hold more community events. As we mentioned, we will be opening our doors March 5th. Our meeting rooms are now available to book and our facility will be open to the public.

The FIRST makers to use a makerspace in this region. So amazing to see people utilizing our space for what it was meant to be. They wanted to build planter boxes together and Studio Barn was the community space that help them do just that. If you have a project you’re itching to work on, keep Studio Barn in mind. We officially open on March 5th 2018 as a soft opening while we complete our setup. Can’t wait to make things with you all.
