Junior High Voyageurs - Canoe Trip 2016 on the Rideau
The Junior High Community embarked on a community building voyageur canoe trip on the Rideau Waterway. The trip integrated Math, History, French, Geography, Biology, Physical Education, and English over the four days. It was an excellent way to begin the year as we shared a common experience which united us and helped each of us learn more about ourselves and those in our community. http://www.bhsmontessori.ca/english/news/junior-high-voyageurs-canoe-trip-2016-on-the-rideau.htm

Our Good Shepherd Atrium students were given an opportunity to visit St. Maurice's Church and Mercy Gate Atrium located in the parish. They were guided through the workings of the church by Miss Dale, a trained Cathechist. The children are now able to connect the Christian Community of the church with their sacred space at Bishop Hamilton, The Good Shepherd Atrium.

Junior High students immersed themselves in the French language and culture by traveling to Quebec City to spend four days in the province’s capital. A combination of science, history, geography and French (of course) weaved their way through the many activities the students participated in contributing to a truly meaningful learning experience.
