facebook.comOnly through the Savior's grace and mercy can We become clean from sin so that We can live with God again. ~ D&C 19:15-19 ~ "15 Therefore I command you to repent—repent, lest I smite you by the rod of my mouth, and by my wrath, and by my anger, and your sufferings be sore—how sore you know not, how exquisite you know not, yea, how hard to bear you know not." "16 For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent;" "17 But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I;" "18 Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink" "19 Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men."
We should study the scriptures having questions in mind and as We feast upon the scriptures, We will find answers to our questions and be guided in our lives. ~ 2 Nephi 32:3-4 ~ "3 Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do." "4 Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark."
Gratitude is an uplifting, exalting attitude. We can be happy when We have gratitude in our heart. Be thankful for the wonderful blessings that are yours. Luke 17:11-19 11 ¶And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. "14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed." "15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God," "16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan." "17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?" "18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger." "19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."
It's important to remember that we must be patient with ourselves. We can only learn and change little by little. But as we make those small changes, God will bless and help us. The important thing is to keep moving forward, learning and growing. (2 Nephi 28:30) "30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have."

The Savior loves all people and desires their salvation. We can search for information about our ancestors and do the saving ordinances in sacred temples. We invite you to the family history activity this Saturday 27th at 1pm
Every day is an opportunity to follow the Savior's example. By following this path, We can draw closer to God, conquer temptation and enjoy the gift of the Holy Ghost more abundantly. 2 Nephi 31:14-20 "14 But, behold, my beloved brethren, thus came the voice of the Son unto me, saying: After ye have repented of your sins, and witnessed unto the Father that ye are willing to keep my commandments, by the baptism of water, and have received the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost, and can speak with a new tongue, yea, even with the tongue of angels, and after this should deny me, it would have been better for you that ye had not known me." "15 And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved." "16 And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this that unless a man shall endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God, he cannot be saved." "17 Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost." "18 And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive." "19 And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save." "20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."
If we put our trust in God, will be delivered from our trials, troubles, and afflictions. With God, we can overcome anything and everything and one day live with Him again. "5 And now my son, Shiblon, I would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your trust in God even so much ye shall be delivered out of your trials, and your troubles, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day." (Alma 38:5)
"But be ye doers of the word, and not just hearers only..." (James 1:22) We can't just listen to the gospel, we must live the gospel. 😀
Love for God and our fellow men is a characteristic of discipleship of Jesus Christ. Matthew 22:35-40 ... "35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying," "36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?" "37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." "38 This is the first and great commandment." "39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." "40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Happy Valentine's day 💗 :)
Our Heavenly Father is always there! Jacob 6:5 "5 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I beseech of you in words of soberness that ye would repent, and come with full purpose of heart, and cleave unto God as he cleaveth unto you. And while his arm of mercy is extended towards you in the light of the day, harden not your hearts."
"For the Lord suffereth the righteous to be slain that his justice and judgement may come upon the wicked; therefore ye need not suppose that the righteous are lost because they are slain; but behold, they do enter into the rest of the Lord their God." (Alma 60:13) In the world, bad things happen to good people, but we can be assured that God is just, and they are well taken care of.
