Way Cool Oakville is looking to hire counter staff for early evenings! The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to cover non-scheduled shifts when necessary. Position Summary: -Approximately 15h/week for evening shifts. -General cleaning (e.g. sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning glass, etc.). -Answering phones. -Greeting customers and providing them with proper waiver forms. -Collecting and checking identification. -Filing paperwork. -Advising clients on tattooing and piercing services.. Experience & Qualifications: -Previous shop experience, with industry referrals is great. -Retail experience is also acceptable -A familiarity with tattoos and piercings. -Accurate handling of the following skills is essential; English, Communications, Basic Mathematics Keep in mind that the right attitude can go a lot further than previous experience in the industry! 2/3 I've been playing around with this word for years now. Usually I'm not huge on word tattoos because I'm afraid the meaning it has to me could change over time. But this has been the one word that hasn't changed at all. This was heavily inspired by the song Swim by the band Jack's Mannequin. There's a line that reads "swim for the music that saves you when you're not so sure you'll survive." As lame and white girly as this sounds, music has always been there. Everything is temporary, but to me music is not. It's the one constant thing in life and I know it's not going anywhere. My biggest physical fear is drowning/suffocating. This one time when I was a child, I was underwater and couldn't breathe and it was the most panic filled moment of my life. I eventually inhaled one giant breath of water and the feeling was nothing but pure bliss. The panic was gone. But I nearly died lmfao so this sort of comes into that whole "sink or swim" mindset.
