Skimcity Kamloops Skimboarding Camp
Description
This is the official Facebook site for SkimCity Skimboarding Camp. SKIMCITY Skimboard Camp is the first of its kind, aiming to enhance awareness of and enthusiasm for the sport of skimboarding. While common in most coastal regions, skimboarding is making waves in many interior areas with available, accessible fresh water bodies, such as our two Thompson rivers. SKIMCITY Camp offers a one-week opportunity to try out this awesome board sport, and to develop or improve athletic abilities such as balance, agility, coordination, and strength.
Coach Rob Larson is thrilled to bring the sport to more people in his community, and will be holding two daily sessions of the official SKIMCITY Camp from August 10-14, 2015.
LOCATION:
SKIMCITY Camp takes place at Overlander Beach, beside the Overlander "blue" Bridge and behind the Henry Grube Centre. Ample parking is available in the lots by the volleyball courts or on the street beside the facility field.
