Ignatius Farm & CSA Ignatius Farm provides fresh, local, organic fruits and vegetables to our surrounding community through our Community Shared Agriculture program, to restaurants and caterers, and through special orders.  Located at the northern perimeter of Guelph, Ontario,  we bridge the 'urban-rural divide' and invite our surrounding community to visit and get involved with their local farm.  We grow over 60 types of vegetables, strawberries, & apples, and are expanding the diversity of our crops annually.  We have recently planted over 50 heritage varieties of apples that were gifted to us and have culled older trees not adapted to organic practices.

Ignatius Farm is part of the Ignatius Jesuit Centre of Guelph, which includes the Loyola House Retreat and Training Centre, the Plant an Old Growth Forest Project, the Ecology Project, the Orchard Park Office Centre, and St. Brigid’s Villa.  Come for conferencing, for a retreat, for a walk, or for fresh food! Explore our meditational landscapes and trails throughout our beautiful and biodiverse farmland, wetlands, and forests.

As an operational farm located at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre, we offer to retreatants, eaters, gardeners and all visitors the opportunity to connect -  to come into relationship with the cosmos in a literal down-to-earth way.  We practice relational farming: we choose to invest more in people than machinery; we choose to invest in soil health and the whole farm ecosystem over cheap synthetic inputs; we bring the farmer and the consumer together.   We offer opportunities for individuals, families and groups to address their personal food security; We showcase how to eat a diverse and healthy diet based on seasonal, local foods from our farm;  We provide a forum to be involved in growing food along with personal and community well-being.

As our population becomes more urban, the farm at IJC becomes increasingly valued as a place of retreat and of connection with our source of sustenance.
