CALLING ALL ARTISTS! The Marigold in conjunction with Mingo Music Sales are putting a call out for artists. With tourist season approaching we would like to do something different with the help of local businesses. Mingo’s will donate various broken or unused instruments to be painted, designed, etc. and have them placed in storefront windows of downtown businesses. Each instrument would have a small bio on the artist and a self-guided map listing all businesses that would be participating. There would be an online auction for the instruments and all proceeds would go to charities. We would like to display the instruments for the month of July and at the end of the month have them on display for an evening at the Marigold where people could come and look, meet the artists and the winning bidder could pick their purchase up. As an artist you can choose your instrument from those available and choose which charity you would like to align with from a list provided. If this is of interest to you, please contact Lori Holman at (902) 897-4004 or by email at lori@marigoldcentre.ca by end of day Friday, April 20th. Limited space available and we require a minimum of 12 Artists to go forward. Please spread the word!
