Full Time Math and Physics Tutor
Description
I am here to keep you excited to learn Looking to get a head start on the coming school year? Looking to start your child on the right foot? Ahead of the class and finding yourself bored?
Math and physics are two subjects that students are most likely to have difficulty in, but we all know how much of a difference a good teacher can make. Often it's not about explaining the concept better, but helping to inspire the student.
My name is Jordan Rose and I specialize in motivating students in math and physics. I am weeks away from earning my Master's degree in Physics. I specialized in Physics Education Research, where I have been working on using elements of video games to motivate first-year students. Before that, I received my undergraduate degree in Mathematical Physics.
There are many free, amazing resources online to learn these subjects from, and I intend to use them all. My job is to help you make sense of these resources, to keep you motivated and excited to learn, and to help you through the conceptually difficult areas. Most of all, my goal is to make math and physics a more positive experience for you. Tutoring is my full time job, allowing me to devote all my time to preparation in order to give you the best possible experience.
I have been tutoring for over 5 years, covering a wide range of topics at both the high school and university level:
- First year physics (Mechanics, Kinematics, Waves, etc)
- First year physics for Life Sciences (University of Guelph Physics 1070/1080)
- Calculus
- Linear Algebra
- Introduction to Differential Equations
- Calculus and Vectors
- Advanced Functions
- Grade 9, 10 and 11 Math and Physics
Don't see your grade or subject in this list? Email me, I'm sure I can accomidate you.
I will be at the University of Guelph during the day and in my home in the evening. If you are able to meet me at these locations, I charge $50/hour. If you are uanble to meet me at these locations and require me to travel to your home then contact me and we can work something out.
I look forwards to hearing from you!
