TODAY is the last day to visit Westmount Branch Library in its current location. This location and its return chute will close permanently at 5 p.m. The temporary Westmount Pop Up Library location in Westmount Shopping Centre (785 Wonderland Road South), will open on Tuesday, November 14 at 9:30 a.m. Materials belonging to Westmount will not be due between November 5 and 13. Materials that belong to other branches (such as holds) may be due during this time and would need to be returned to another library location or renewed. Items cannot be left at Westmount's current location after 5pm today. If you’ve placed a hold that arrives between November 5 and 13, it will be available at the Pop Up Library from November 14 until November 18 at 5 p.m. POP UP LIBRARY OPENS NOV. 14 Westmount Shopping Centre (785 Wonderland Road South), Unit C10 Main Floor near Viscount Entrance and Tim Hortons HOURS Tuesday – Thursday 9:30 am – 9pm Friday 9:30 am – 6pm Saturday 9:30am – 5pm Closed Sunday and Monday. No after hours returns. At this temporary location, you will be able to borrow from a selection of books for adults and children, magazines, DVDs, Quick Picks and large print books. You will be able to place and pick up holds from this location, return your items and pay your fines. There will also be a number of computers available for public use. BACKGROUND As part of the process of moving Westmount Branch into its new home in the Southwest multipurpose facility currently under construction, the Library Branch will have a temporary home in the Westmount Shopping Centre from November 14, 2017 through to September 2018. The building and property currently housing the Westmount Branch Library has sold and the new owners will take possession of the property. London Public Library is part of a partnership to build a multipurpose facility in the southwest area of London. Our partners are the City of London and YMCA. Plans are underway for a wonderful library in this new facility. This facility is slated to open in the fall of 2018.
