Thanks to the Peace River Fire Department for hosting A NFPA 1051 Wildland Firefighter course this weekend. Members from Peace River, Northern Sunrise County, Fox Creek, and Fairview attended. An Alberta Agriculture and Forestry Helitack (HAC) crew based out of Peace River were there to show trainees their equipment and tactics. At times Alberta wildland firefighters will work side by side with municipal firefighters. Training together ensures seamless, efficient fire ground operations!
We are now under a PROVINCE WIDE FIRE BAN and off-highway vehicle restriction. Please adhere to the conditions of the fire ban and follow the link below for more details: https://www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?xID=56008F403851F-D7AE-581D-DD69186879096211
