Download the Libby App to borrow from our collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks; and, since it’s Family Day, we should remind you about Tumblebooks for the kids - it’s full of read-along books, games, and puzzles. There’s so much to do during February Break at the Library! Closed tomorrow, back open on Tuesday with a week of movies at 2pm, Colouring, Family Storytime, Kids Yoga, Loose Parts and Natural Play, Drop-in Preschool Storytime, Robotics Club begins, Teen Music & Dance Night, Minecraft, and so much more! If you don’t come for one of these great programs, stop by to grab some books, movies, music, etc., to keep the kids busy during the break. See you here! ✌️

What’s that?! Why is author Mark Sakamoto’s name on the front of our new What’s On booklets?! Because... (wait for it)..... he’s coming for an author talk on April 23rd!!! He’ll talk about his book, ‘Forgiveness: A Gift From My Grandparents’ and the experience of having his book debated on CBC Canada Reads! SAVE THIS DATE!
The March/April program booklets will be coming off the printer soon! When you pick up your copy (or view it online) you’ll notice that each cover features a woman.That’s because March 8th is International Women’s Day and we want to honour that!💪🚺 When you look inside the What’s On & Movie Time booklets you’ll also see that we’re showing the Emma Stone and Steve Carell film, ‘Battle of the Sexes’ that day in partnership with the Medicine Hat Women's Shelter Society. So ladies, men, children: save the date to celebrate International Women’s Day!

Bring your little to the Library for playtime during the February break! The Medicine Hat Early Childhood Coalition will be here with loose parts for natural play. Loose parts help children by inspiring imagination and creativity through play on their own terms and in their own ways. It also enhances problem solving, language and vocabulary skills, concentration, hand-eye coordination, and much more! Come out and join the coalition for some fun and innovative play! Intended for children ages 0 - 6 (older siblings welcome).
Bring your little yogi to get some practice with gross motor skills, balance, and flexibility during the February break. Space is limited so we recommend you arrive early, please bring your own mat if you have one.
