At 1905 General we look to build a product offering that supports our local residents, producers and artisans in the local food markets. What is 1905 General? A retail concept. An idea/product delivery system. A flexible retail collective.

We endeavour to use our unique Ballinafad storefront as a sales showcase for products that represent a different time in rural Canada, like 1905, when sustainability wasn't a "buzzword"

Today, at 1905 General, we sell coffee and "slickers" ice cream.
Our coffee is carefully roasted by an industry leader, located in Etobicoke Ontario, who's specialty is direct from farmer importing of raw green coffee.
We choose to support Cordoba Coffee and their family run roasting facility, as their founders business philosophy shares a strong connection with the core values of 1905 General.  

We proudly supply Slickers Ice Cream which is produced in Prince Edward County. Slickers is owned and operated by a wife and husband team that specializes in chemical free, naturally flavoured small batch production of premium ice cream. Within their own community Anne and Peter purchase their cream from a local dairy farm in Bloomfield ON, while working with several local fruit farmers for the incredible ice cream recipes.

As we continue to surround ourselves with like minded producers, artisans, farmers and craftspeople; our customers can rest assured that the majority of products we provide will follow this specific philosophy.
