The Town of Englehart would like to advise its' residents that on Thursday May 11, 2017 the students of Englehart High School will be picking up garbage along the streets and ditches.

PUBLIC NOTICE: HAZARD TREE REMOVAL AT KAP-KIG-IWAN PARK FROM TODAY UNTIL FRIDAY, MAY 19TH.. PLEASE BE ADVISED to take caution while walking around the Kap-Kig-wan Park Campgrounds. The gate is open to vehicles. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution while around those areas as well. ALSO, be advised that the Park remains closed to campers until Friday, May 19th. Annual Spring Clean-up Notice Curbside pick-up will be held on May 23, 2017. All household garbage MUST be tagged for regular pickup. Tipping fees will be waived at the landfill site on Tues, May 23 and Sat, May 27, There will be NO repeat pick-up; your debris will be picked up once between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Residents are asked to separate garbage/debris into three piles; tagged household garbage, wood and metal. Branches are to be no longer than 4 feet in length. There will be a maximum allowance of the equivalent of 1 pickup truck per household. PLEASE PUT YOUR DEBRIS OUT THE DAY PRIOR TO THE PICK-UP DATE. PLEASE NOTE: Rubber tires and refrigerators or freezers WILL NOT be picked up. Refrigerators, Freezers and any Freon appliance can be taken to the landfill site FREE of charge as long as they are properly tagged by an individual qualified to remove Freon from appliances Residents are reminded that ALL household garbage during and after these dates MUST be tagged according to normal procedures. Residents are encouraged to also put any electronics i.e. Televisions, computers, and any other small electronics for recycling, at the curb. The Works Department wishes to thank all residents in advance for your cooperation in this matter. Collection may take more than one day so your patience is appreciated. The Town of Englehart wishes to remind Englehart residents that Friday's regularly scheduled garbage collection will be done on Thursday April 13 due to the Good Friday holiday. Please be advised that the Town offices will be closed on Friday April 14th and Monday April 17th due to the Easter holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday April 18th at our regular hours of operation 8am to 4pm. Have a safe and happy Easter weekend.
