The Bell, Book & Candle is small shop in the historic village of Elora, Ontario. We have a wide variety of antiques to suit everyone's taste! Everything from art and collectibles, to vintage and upcycled pieces. We are also a very proud to carry a variety of Fair Trade goods from Ten Thousand Villages such as jewelry & unique gifts and home decor. And Fair Trade chocolate of course! These products are ethically produced via co-ops, social enterprises or companies and organizations that support human rights, animal rights, ecological causes, etc. It's "shopping with a conscience". In addition we sell wellness items such and yoga and meditation props, and new age items! And several unique, one-of-a-kind pieces from local, Canadian suppliers. And of course, Bells, Books & Candles! We'd love to meet you, come visit us and take a look around!

It looks like the Circus is coming to town... ;) Haven't seen one of these since I was a little kid in Europe, many moons ago! We put up a poster at the shop and I did ask about "animals", only dogs (poodles it seems) which I was told are well treated. I would not approve of any "wild and exotic" animals, they belong in nature. Acrobats and daredevils, now that's a real old fashioned circus! Take the kids! June 10, 7pm in Fergus Sportsplex.

The world's greatest heavyweight boxing champion died last night age 74 in Phoenix, Arizona. I watched some of his fights on TV with my dad as a kid. My dad loved boxing. To me it's the end of an era. Little did I know then one day I would have a shop with this poster. RIP Cassius Clay, aka Muhammad Ali.

We had to say goodbye today to some things we really loved to see around the store, but we know they're going to a good home where they will be loved :) This beautiful rocking chair and this milk can with lots of character have been re-homed ;)
