This is a friendly reminder that we are running the Plan Your Plot class in our Teaching Kitchen here at Greener Village from 6-8pm. Come out and think about the spring and growing things instead of snow for a couple hours!

We are looking for Volunteers that enjoy cooking as well as Grade 5 students :) Collective Cooking for Kids is a 6 session (15 students/session) workshop for the Grade 5 students at Liverpool St Elementary. They will learn to read a recipe, gather ingredient and prepare the dish. Also proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures and finally, eat what they made.

This workshop is especially for those who are growing in community gardens ( including the ones at Greener Village). It helps you choose what you want to grow and eat. Suitable for families with children of 10 + . Hands on activity of planning your plot , with lots of advice and a fresh food lesson with chef Yves. Thanks to everyone who has helped us with our need for bags! We are still running very low on plastic bags. Would you consider giving your stash of plastic bags to a great cause. We make sure they continue to get used instead of piling up under your sink or in your pantry!!

We want to recognize a special family! The Syed Naqvi family came in yesterday to donate over 50lbs of Halal meat. They did this to celebrate their daughter's 3rd birthday. When someone in their family celebrates a birthday, they make a donation to our Food Bank. Thanks so much for your generosity and for thinking of others on your special day!!
