Long before I got into real estate as a professional, I bought and sold a few properties as a civilian. I don't forget what's it's like to be on the other side of the table. My business with clients is conducted with that in mind. Our business is based on 100% commission. If you wonder why we send pens and fridge magnets and flyers it's because we want to be on top of your mind when the time to buy or sell comes. One in 3 homes are listed due to unexpected circumstances. Yes, you can sell by yourself, or with a flat fee discount brokerage. But, the assumption there is that all things being equal you will get the same price regardless of how you transact. The stats suggest otherwise. I can tell you that having been on both sides of the real estate world, it is better to have a good representative. As you can appreciate, there is a tremendous amount of time, effort, research and energy spent on getting things right: the best offer, most comparable sales in the immediate marketplace, negotiations, handling disappointments, and creating success. The majority of my work takes place behind the scenes. I only take on a few clients at a time, so when you list with me you have my full attention. When making a decision to use a realtor, or not, choose wisely.
