Canadian Gujarati Christ Church
Description
OUR HISTORY
The like minded Christian families were meeting regularly for fellowship since a decade under the banner of “Canadian Gujarati Christian Fellowship (CGCF)”. God gave the vision of establishing a spiritually focused Gujarati Church to Many leading families of the Gujarati Christian Community involved with CGCF. The members of CGCF began to pray and seek God’s guidance to begin a Gujarati Church to cater the spiritual needs of the community in Gujarati language.
July 10, 2011 was the historic day for the Gujarati Christian community of the GTA area. The Canadian Gujarati Christchurch was dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ to serve the Gujarati Christian community of the GTA. The dedication service was held at St. Marks Presbyterian Church in Malton, Mississauga.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
Canadian Gujarati Christchurch is a Christ centered, Gospel sharing community of Gujarati Christians.
THE PURPOSE OF CGC:
To establish, maintain and support a house of worship with services conducted in accordance with the tenets and doctrines of the Christian faith.
To support and maintain missions and missionaries in order to propagate the Christian faith.
Provide support for individual for growth in Christian faith and spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through evangelism.
In keeping with this purpose, CGC’s objective is to glorify God by obeying the Great Commandment to love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22: 36-40) and the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations through baptism and teaching God’s Word (Matthew 28: 18-20).
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
The cornerstone of our belief and faith is Jesus Christ. Through Him, we have the free gift of salvation, an eternal relationship with God, and an example of how to live our lives and love God and each other. He is central to everything that we believe and everything that we do. God wants us to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, keeping ourselves constantly in subjection to Christ, we must allow God’s Holy Spirit to live through us in a daily “walk” of faith. All of us need to make sure that He is the center of our lives in every way.
