Nomination deadlines are coming up for the 2017 Bobby Orr Hall of Fame Celebrating Youth Awards, so to encourage nominations we're continuing to introduce you to some of the phenomenal boys and girls we met through the event last year! Meet Austin, Ethan, and Skylar Penfold! Austin and his grandfather brainstormed ways to help raise funds for new playground equipment at St. Peter’s School and decided to start collecting and returning bottles and cans from the Pointe-au-Baril community alongside his brother Ethan and his sister Skylar. Together the Penfold family collected more than sixty thousand bottles that summer and raised six thousand dollars to help pay for the playground equipment. The following year they were able to raise thirteen thousand five hundred dollars for the community with the same idea, and to date they have raised over $100,000 for their community! Austin, Ethan, and Skylar exemplify citizenship, and we thank them for striving to make their home a better place!
