A summer festival on Belleville's Waterfront, July 9 to 13.  Celebrating it's 31st anniversary.  2014 Top 100 Festivals of Ontario award winner. Acknowledged as one of Ontario's Top 100 Festivals for the third year in a row, The Belleville Waterfront & Ethnic Festival is gearing up for an exciting year on the beautiful Bay of Quinte. from Thursday July 6th to Sunday July 9th. “Waterfront” hosts the first midway of the summer and the excitement begins to build when the rides roll into town.  We look forward to welcoming thousands back to the Festival again this year and while the smell of popcorn and sounds of the carnival greet you as you walk into West Zwick’s park, this is just the beginning.

You’ll weave your way through our Vendor Marketplace with merchandise from all over and then stay a while in the Children’s Village at the Canada 150 colouring wall or be entertained by different multicultural expressive demonstrations and family attractions each day - including Canine Watersports, Ultimutts Dog Shows and the Zoosemobile.

By the time you’ve spent some time sitting with the kids, the smells from our locally sourced international food tents will have your mouth watering.  Maybe you’re coming back for the amazing piri-piri chicken from Portugal, the momos from Tibet, the perogies from Poland or are looking forward to try our new East Coast or Thai options not to mention the tastes of Mexico, Holland and India.

The Mainstage has always been the “mainstay” of the Waterfront Festival.  As we celebrate the decades and Canada this year, we are excited to feature Youth Night on Thursday with tributes to Katy Perry & Lady Gaga, Indie Rock sensation Stacee Rene from Toronto and the Saturday Night Superstars performing hits from the 80’s, 90’s & today.  Friday we’re celebrating music from the 50’s through the 70’s with The Rookie Band (featuring music from the 50’s & early 60’s fronted by Aaron MacKenzie from the cast of Jersey Boys in Toronto), A Musical Journey to 1967 and The 70’s Revolution. And a bit of something for everyone on Saturday night with Freddy Vette & The Rhinestone Plow Boys, Acadian Maritime & Quebec Celebration featuring Jeanette Arsenault and main event Canada Rocks … a 2 hour musical presentation paying tribute to the best of Canadian Rock.  On Sunday, the afternoon is a perfect time to take in the new Toronto Rock Band  “Cardinal Street” featuring the son & nephew of Canadian Rock Icon “Gowan”, and a Guess Who Tribute featuring Carl Dixon and 3 of the original group members.

Advance bracelet tickets for the Midway go on sale in May - $20 in advance available at the Log Cabin (5 Moira St. E, Belleville)  -  $22 Thursday/$27 Friday/Saturday/Sunday onsite.

And we are still welcoming local sports teams to sign up for our Thursday night ParticipACTION Sports Expo  where we invite you  and your local teams to share skills, registration information and maybe even some good-natured competition in the Wipeout Challenge Zone.
