On this day, 26 of April 1977, Fronditha Care was first established at a meeting of visionaries that was assembled to discuss the care needs of the elderly in the Greek community. The main pillars of the organisation and the driving forces behind its pioneers were and continue to be respect, do right, bring joy and inspire better. This year marks a major milestone in the 40 year history of our organisation and one that we are very proud of. Today, Fronditha Care provides residential and community care services throughout Victoria and in New South Wales.
Tune in to 3XY Radio Hellas at 1422AM this Monday from 9am to 10am, to listen to our Special radio show with Zeta and Odysseas, that is dedicated to the 40 Years of Fronditha Care. Our Special guests Mr Jacob Fronistas (Treasurer) and Nick Thodos (President of Fronditha Care) will commemorate the very first meeting of the inaugural Committee and they will discuss the present and future plans and vision of the organisation that we care so much about.

Maria - Martha Kapetanea was the student awarded the Fronditha Care “Encouragement Award” for her participation in the “Spirit of Hellenism Award 2017” competition. Maria - Martha thrilled us with her narrative poem that portrayed the experiences of our volunteer, Jim Kalodimos, when he first arrived in Australia. Fronditha Care encourages initiatives that connect the younger generation with our elderly and sincerely thanks Maria – Martha for her contribution and inspiration.

A massive thank you to Multicultural Arts Victoria Inc. for organizing a fabulous Piers Festival 2017. BIG thanks also to the Independent Laconian Dance Group for volunteering to represent Fronditha Care on the dance floor. Despite the inclement weather, many festival-goers showed up and made lambàdes for Easter at our stall, making this event even more special to us. Thanks for stopping by!
