I try not to get too personal with this stuff but I thought this was important to highlight. This is my right arm. The reaction is from cross contamination from a pizza purchased on Saturday evening, bought as gluten free, but prepared in an environment and in an oven that is not appropriately maintained. This was from a commercial chain, and while not something I usually do, I thought it was worth a shot. This rash has spread across my shoulder, back and in small patches across my right hip. Yes, it has bled, yes, it stings, and yes, it's painful. It is treatable, and I'll sort it, but I do want to highlight the importance of making sure that, if you or someone you love experiences any allergies, make very, very sure that what you purchase and where you purchase it from is legitimately as concerned about your health as you are. I'm a nazi when it comes to this stuff, not because of me but I have one son who is allergic to a whole slew of things, and two grandchildren who are allergic to eggs-all require epi pens. No one suffers on my watch. Digestive issues aside, these allergic reactions can manifest themselves is many ways, from painful rashes to insomnia to brain fog to muscle and joint pain. And while I understand they're are some who engage in gluten free foods because they assume it's better for them ( it really isn't, btw), their choice should not impact on the seriousness with which those who do seriously suffer from the after effects of cross contamination or accidental ingestion. I made a rookie mistake and it'll take me a week or so to get over it. Fortunately the tum is a little better. But this is why we will never, ever ever compromise on ensuring our allergy aware baked goods are not only delicious but absolutely cross contaminate free. Whatever your allergy, we genuinely understand and we've got your health at the forefront of the bake. Every time. No compromise. And please, please, please, be careful with what you order out in the real world-ask questions, do your research. If any one responds to 'is that gluten or anything else free' with 'I think so', walk away. No excuse for them not knowing their product. And let them know that. The same with vegan products-I've found that anyone who claims a vegan cupcake tastes just as good as a cupcake with animal fats and eggs is actually eating a regular cupcake, but the retail outlet wants your business, not your ethics. Be aware. Be careful. And know we've got your back!👌

Thug life!😂 Rose had her first beach trip today and conquered see through stairs. Guide dogs have to be able to go anywhere, and open stairs can be a challenge, but this li'l legend nailed it! She gets her training coat next week. Then we take on the world!😜

Haven't shown our Frozen cupcake stand for a while. She comes and goes to the delight of many! The stand will hold up to two dozen cupcakes and a dozen Iddy Biddy's, or whatever sweet treats you'd like to display. Available for hire with or without a cake order, but we do offer a package price.

A bit of fun and a whole lot of cake for some fabulous people! The DBV warehouse with the boss watching over, this one had everything-layers of chocolate mud, red velvet, caramel date and raspberry buttercake, with fondant figurines, palettes and a chocolate soil pile in the back!😄 Made with love, devoured with passion - we hope!😂

A year ago we sent out some cupcakes to one of our clients who became a second time grand mum to a big bouncing baby boy. Today we made cupcakes to celebrate his first birthday.
