Thursday Night Fixture results 9/02/17 Close fought matches by all teams Princes 4 sets 37 games draw with volleys 2 sets 37 games Babolats 4 sets 36 games defeated Slazengers 4 sets 31 games Wilsons 4 sets 39 games defeated fishers 4 sets 34 games the bye team for next week is Wilsons

Finals of the 2016 Thursday Night Nixtures (which was delayed due to rain washouts) was finally played on the 20th of January with Paul Viever's Slazengers 6 sets 38 games defeating the much favoured Andrew Lerch's Babolats 2 sets 34 games. The final score did not depict the quality of the tennis on the night. Congratulations Slazengers on another well deserved victory. The 2017 season commenced on Thursday2nd of February with 7 teams playing this season. Wayne Jensens Volleys had a good win with 8 sets 48 games to Allan Travascis Fishers on 0 sets 24 games. Volleys were helped out on the night by David Kerkow and Michael Heidrich. Lloyd Richerts Princes 5 sets 38 games defeated Paul Vievers Slazengers 3 sets 38 games in a hard fought match. Princes were helped out by Ben Campbell on the night. David Taylors Kennexes 8 sets 48 games defeated Mick Fishers Wilsons 0 sets 24 games. Fishers were lacking their number 3 player on the night which may of contributed to the loss. Bye for thursday 9th of Feb is Kennexes so teams who are short of players should contact these players if requiring substitute player on the night. - Julie Graham ( Organising Secretary)

Have you been watching the Aussie Open and would like to get back into tennis? The club have plenty of options to get you back on court. 1. Tuesday Night & Thursday Night Fixtures - join a team or make your own (6 months per season). 2. Become a Non-Fixture Member with Key and use the facilty in your free time for a once a year fee. 3. Contact a club rep and simply hire the court for your private use. Invite a friend for a hit or use it as a work break up party. 4. Contact the resident coach for more tennis programs such as Cardio Tennis, Fast 4 Fixtures and coaching for all ages (including adults).

Thursday night finals finally played on Friday 20th January with a great match being played between Slazengers and Babolats with Slazengers coming out on top 6 sets 38 games to Babolats 2 sets 34 games. Individual winners for the season were No1 Paul Vievers, No 2 Jim Eadie, No 3 Dianne Campbell and No 4 Vossie. The new season will kick off on the 2nd of February any players wanting to play Thursday night Fixtures should contact Julie Graham on 0468598038 or 41627327
