One perfect day, there will be no stess, no mistakes made, no frustrations, no challenges, no disappointments. Life will be sweet. In the quest for the perfect day, we risk missing the moments that God has set before us, that take us forward into his plan for our lives . The times where our faith, compassion & love grows. The perfect day is not in what we do but in what God does within us and through us. Today, let God take you beyond your boundaries through his grace, mercy & strength. He loves you. He wants the best for you. Let him lead, guide and direct your path through the sweetest of days or the roughest of weeks. My perfect day...will not be on this earth but will be when I stand before my heavenly Father & He welcomes me home with open arms. Love Lynnelle 💚

This is the Japanese art of Kintsugi where they take broken pottery and repair with powdered gold, silver or platinum. The philosophy behind this is to repair the object however, the breakage is seen as part of history and it is not disguised. Instead, it is very evident that the bowl was once broken but now repaired and able to be used again. My head thinks back to the last time I heard a crash in the kitchen, which was only a few weeks ago. The pottery rice container was knocked off the shelf and laid on the floor smashed. Sharp edges to cut, draw blood and cause pain. Small and large pieces scattered across the floor. Similarities to life are right there in front of me. In the broken pieces I see disappointment, hurt, broken relationships and faded dreams. We can all endure difficult seasons, hurts, disappointments - I have. Some events leave us shattered into pieces and spread across the floor. To pick all of these pieces up is difficult. To repair, seems impossible. I remember feeling absolutely shattered a few years ago. Life had taken a sudden turn. My self-confidence was just like my rice container, scattered across the floor and as I sat there, I questioned whether this could ever be repaired. It was only through my faith that I held onto the hope that this mess that surrounded me, could be restored. Then God stepped in. He gathered those pieces, he started to repair. He took the broken and put it back together. The past is still there and the scars are too, but they no longer hurt. Instead, they are a testimony of restoration. God's love, mercy and hope is the powdered gold that beautifully binds us together after being shattered. In doing so, I don't believe he intends to disguise the past but instead allows us to see his repair work as a testimony to others and a reminder to ourselves. Those broken pieces are our story. They are us. As much as they are our past, they can also be part of our future. I love how He works. What we see as shattered, he can restore. In her book, 'Unstoppable'Christine Caine states that, "Impossible is God's starting point." Impossible is where we let go and let him lead. From scattered, broken pieces to lives restored and renewed in Christ. Love Lynnelle 💚
