Improve your fishing knowledge and conservation skills while socialising with members in a relaxed family friendly environment.
Kingaroy Sportfishing Club Inc. is a affiliated with Australian National Sportfishing Association (ANSA). We are a small club with a goal to promote the principles of Sport, Conservation and Integrity in fishing and provide opportunities for mateship, education and skills development.
The club achieves this by offering members the following;
Participation in ANSA national and state competitions however the level of participation is up to each individual.
Opportunity to collect data for research via participation in Suntag, including the opportunity to obtain tagging accreditation within the club.
Participating in organising the KSFC annual Saratoga Tagging Challenge "Tag A Toga".
Monthly meetings to socialise and learn new techniques, and find out what's biting and what tactics and tackle work.
A monthly outing to local fishing locations with other members and families.
A weekend fishing trip away targeting specific species every quarter.
Opportunity to compete in annual club challenges and championships.
Membership
Our financial year runs from 1st July to 30th June. new members can join anytime with half yearly fees available from 1st January.
Current fees are;
Single adult member $60.00
Family membership $80.00
Junior $20.00

History
The Kingaroy Sportfishing Club Inc. was founded by members of the Broadway Fishing Club in the 1980's. Several members of the club attended an ANSA Queensland State Conference and sought to gain affiliation. This was granted on ??????

As much as I love the South Burnett impoundments the North Burnett's Cania Dam is one of my favourites. The fish seem to pull a lot harder up there, and the ever reliable edge bite in amongst the timber ensures white knuckle fishing. Also clocked up 5 species👌
