Year 12 student Arjun Majhi has been awarded the prestigious Friends of Zainab Tertiary Scholarship. This is a Public Education Foundation award and will be presented to Arjun in Sydney next year. It will provide him with significant financial support for his first two years of tertiary study. Arjun has already received early entry to study Pharmacy at La Trobe University through the Aspire program and is a recipient of the Vice Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship. These achievements are particularly outstanding considering Arjun has only been in Australia and learning English for a little over two years. He is pictured with his Careers Advisor Mr Taylor who has been instrumental in helping him achieve his goals.
Due to a delay with the printers the JFHS Magazine has only arrived today. Your Year Advisers have them and a list of all who have paid their general contributions. They will be available at the start of next year. Thanks for your patience.
