Proud to announce that we marked an important milestone for the Wake Forest Baptist Health Cancer Survivorship Clinic last week. For the first time, we had a recreational therapist and a survivor volunteer in the clinic! Ben Curti, RT and Dusty Donaldson, cancer survivor from the Dusty Joy Foundation met with patients to discuss life after treatment and support that is available to our lung cancer survivors. Wake Forest Baptist CEO Recognized by National Health Care Publication
Our Julie Ann Freischlag, has been named one of the Physician Leaders to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review, a national health care media organization based in Chicago. One-hundred five health care executives were recognized this year. Freischlag is one of 17 female executives to make the list and the only woman executive to serve in both roles as CEO of a clinical health care system and dean of a medical school, basic science and clinical research programs.
